May 06. A new European Freight Carrier seeking Captains
and FO's to operate newly converted BAe ATP Freight Aircraft. Minimum requirements:  Right to work and live within the EU, Current JAA/EU ATPL (frozen for FO's), completed approved MCC Course, Total time of 2500 hours for Captains, 1000 hours for FO's, Multi-Engine Command 750 hours for Captains, 250 hours for FO's, Command Time on BAe ATP or similar aircraft 250 hrs for Captains only. Jun 06. New airline announced called Manx2. Jetstream 31 pressurised aircraft will form the nucleus of the fleet. They plan to initially serve Leeds Bradford Airport from the Isle of Man starting 12 August with Belfast International and Blackpool to Ronaldsway in the start-up package.  Sep 06. Requirements have reduced to 2000 total time in fixed wing aircraft, including 500 hours completed on a heavy turbo prop or jet in excess of 15 tonnes. Occasionally they may recruit pilots with lower total experience, but who possess a type rating. Aug 06. Still positive. Jun 06. Developing at an astonishing rate as a scheduled airline. Figures for last financial year show a 40% rise. Increasing frequency of routes and adding more.   Apr 07. Possible merger with Thomas Cook announced. Sep 05. Entry via cadet training scheme: http://alteon.sigmaraviation.com The company is now stable after detailed negotiations with the banks. Although not completely free of their debts they are able to move forward again and due to their redundancies and pilots who have moved on, should start recruitment again soon.  December 04:  There have been a reduction in the number of redundancies, though many pilots are still jumping ship.
